چکیده

In present study, a solvent extraction experiment has been done to separate cobalt from the nickel sulfate solution by using 2-ethythexyl phosponic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester (PC-88A) as extractant. The was carried out on laboratory scale separating funnel extract with PC88A. mixed shake in for specified period of time, and after finished organic phase PC88 separated decantation. content aqueous were then analyzed Atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). this experiment, variable experiments covering pH 2 6, shaking time 30 minutes 120 minutes, speed 20 revolutions per minute (rpm) 80 rpm, volumeratio (A:O ratio) 1:1 1:4. effects that experimental variables observed experiment. result at room temperature, 5, 60 90 A:O ratio 1:4 concentration PC- 88A 40% show 97.21% can be extracted PC-88A solution, thererfore it necessary conduct two stage process 100% solution.

Dissolution of Nickel and Cobalt from Iron-Rich Laterite Ores Using Different Organic Acids

Due to the decreasing production of nickel and cobalt from sulfide sources, the Ni and Co extraction from the oxide ores (laterites) have become more prevalent. In this research work, the effects of calcination prior to leaching, acid concentration, percent solid, pH, and stirring speed on the nickel and cobalt recoveries from an iron-rich laterite ore sample were investigated using diffe...

Efficient removal of cobalt(II) ion from aqueous solution using amide-functionalized metal-organic framework

In this study, an amide-functionalized metal-organic framework, namely TMU-24 was selected to adsorb Co(II) from wastewater with an adsorption capacity of 500 mg. g-1 in less than 20 minutes in neutral pH (pH=7). The effect of diverse parameters such as adsorbent dosage, competitive ions, and contact time on the adsorption process was investigated to find the optimal amounts of them. Also, the ...

Equilibrium studies of cobalt(II) extraction with 2-pyridineketoxime from mixed sulphate/chloride solution

In present paper the equilibrium of cobalt extraction with 1-(2-pyridyl)tridecan-1-one oxime from the chloride/sulphate solutions was studied. The presented results indicated that extraction depends on a number of process variables, including the pH, metal and Cl- concentration in the aqueous feed, and concentration of the oxime in the organic phase. The created cobalt-complexes with the 2-pyri...
